Coalition Compass Learning Series - Session 4
August 20, 2025 – Power in Partnership: Engaging Community Decision Makers the Right Way

- This session will explore building meaningful relationships with elected officials and involve them as allies in coalition work.
This four-part interactive series is designed to help coalitions gain clarity with finding and using data, telling impactful stories, moving from problems to solutions, and engaging community decision makers effectively.
Each session is one hour, from Noon -1:00 p.m., with an optional 30-minute Application Lab directly following the session where participants will apply concepts to their own community and coalition challenges.
Community Development Forums
Elevate Kansas Community Development Forums are regional gatherings connecting leaders, funders, and changemakers to strengthen the future of Kansas communities.
What you can expect from this full-day, in-person event:
- Gain practical, implementable ideas for improving your community
- Discover what it takes to successfully gather financial and human resources to make your ideas a reality
- Identify and develop actions you can take back to your community
- Engage in opportunities to expand your network and build partnerships to further the work that you are most passionate about.
