MISSION

• Collaboration: Bringing together our community stakeholders in the fields of education, childcare, early childhood development, healthcare, recreation and fitness to work together to pool resources and capacity to maximize our efforts.
• Innovation: Seeking new ideas or ways of thinking to solve our most challenging problems to enhance the quality of life in our rural community.
• Inclusion: Creating a welcoming -environment for everyone in the community, where everyone is valued, ideas are shared and we all have access to resources to live a safe, healthy, active lifestyle.
• Resilience: Investing in the right people, adopting the right policies and taking proactive measures to mitigate risks associated with initiatives as we plan for the growth and sustainability of the community.

STRATEGIC PRIORITIES

• Access: Increase the visibility, value and access to public health resources that are focused on prevention, especially for the most vulnerable populations of focus in our community.
• Collaboration: Foster collaboration between community leaders and stakeholders and health organizations. Provide leadership, facilitate discussions and leverage community assets to address complex health and wellness challenges.
• Policy: Provide technical assistance resources to write and adopt health and wellness policies. Use a unified voice on policy matters and take advantage of advocacy opportunities.
• Social Determinants: address social determinants of health such as income, age, race, access to care, food insecurities, housing.
